Managing your orders
In addition to fulfilling orders and taking payments, there are more things you can do with orders. You can label them, make notes on them, or check their Timeline.
About order stages
Every order goes through three stages: order placed, order paid, and order fulfilled and paid. You need to capture payment, fulfill the order, and archive the order at each stage. You can set up Popup to do these things automatically, or you can do them manually.
About automatic settings
If you sell digital products or use a fulfillment service, you might want to turn on automatic payment capture, automatic order fulfillment, and automatic order archiving. That way, your payments will be captured at the time of the order, your fulfillment service will be notified, and your order status will be set to close.
Add a tracking number
Add a tracking number to an order.
Steps
- In the Popup admin, go to Orders.
- Search for the specific Order.
- Click Add tracking.
- Enter the Tracking number information in the field.
- Click Choose and select the courier.
- Select Send notification email to customer.
- ClickSave.
Print a packing slip
Steps
- In the Popup admin, go to Orders.
- Search for the specific Order.
- Click More.
- Select Print packing slip.
Cancel an order
Cancelling an order stops an order that's being processed.
Steps
- In the Popup admin, go to Orders.
- Search for the Order you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel order.
- Choose Refund options: Refund (with amount) now or Refund later.
- Select if you want to Restock items.
- Select if you want to Send an email to the customer.
- Click Choose to select the Cancel reason.
- Click Cancel order.
Customize your order view
By default, all your orders are displayed on the Orders page. But you can create personalized views with filters, sorting, and column arrangements. This way, you can easily find and prioritize specific groups of orders in the future.
Steps
- In the Popup admin, go to Orders.
- Click All orders or Draft orders.
- Sort orders by Financial status, Fulfillment status, Popup Store, Alphabetical order, Order number, Order total, and Fulfillment status.
The number you see on the right side of your Orders page in the Popup admin tells you how many open orders you have.
